There are many benefits to the use of insect-proof nets in vegetable production. The function, selection and use methods of insect control net are introduced as follows.
1. The role of insect control net
1. Anti-insect. After covering the vegetable field with the insect-proof net, it can basically avoid the harm of green worm, diamonside moth, cabbage moth, moth, wasp, aphids and other pests.
2. Prevent disease. Viral diseases are catastrophic diseases of a variety of vegetables and are mainly transmitted by insects, especially aphids. Because the insect net cut off the transmission route of pests, the incidence of virus disease is greatly reduced, and the prevention effect reaches about 80%.
3. Adjust the temperature, mild humidity and soil. The test shows that, in hot summer, the temperature in the greenhouse is the open ground in early afternoon, the temperature in the greenhouse is 1℃ ~2℃ higher and the ground temperature in 5 cm is 0.5℃ ~1℃ higher than the open ground, which can effectively reduce the frost; the net can prevent some rain from falling into the shed, reduce the field humidity, reduce the disease, sunny day can reduce the water evaporation in the greenhouse.
4. Cover up the light. In summer, the light intensity is high, and the strong light will inhibit the nutritional growth of vegetables, especially the leafy vegetables, and the insect control net can play a certain role in shading and preventing strong light and direct radiation.
2. Ing net selection
Insect control net has black, white, silver gray and other colors, according to the needs to choose the net color. When used alone, choose silver gray (silver gray has a better apor avoidance) or black. When used with sunshade net, it is appropriate to choose white, mesh generally choose 20~40 mesh.
3. The use of insect nets
1. Greenhouse cover. The insect net is directly covered on the scaffolding, around with soil or brick pressure compaction. The roof pressure line should be tightened to prevent the strong wind from opening. Usually in and out of the greenhouse to close the door, to prevent butterflies, moths flying into the shed to lay eggs.
2. Small arch shed cover. The insect control net is covered on the arch frame of the small arch shed, after watering directly poured on the net, until harvesting does not uncover the net, the implementation of fully closed cover.
Summer and autumn cultivation of vegetables are generally covered with insect-proof net. Vegetables with a long growth period, high stalks or need shelves need to be cultivated in large and medium sheds to facilitate management and harvesting. Fast-growing leafy vegetables cultivated in summer and autumn, because of their short growth period and relatively concentrated harvesting, can be covered with small arch sheds. Off-season cultivation in late autumn, deep winter and early spring, insect-proof net can be set up at the greenhouse air outlet, and pressed with the film line.
4. matters need attention
1. Before sowing or colonization, using high temperature stuffy shed or spraying low toxicity pesticides to kill parasites pupae and larvae in the soil.
2. When planting, it is best to bring medicine into the shed, and select robust plants without pests and diseases.
3. Strengthen daily management, close the door when entering and leaving the greenhouse, and the relevant utensils should be disinfected before agricultural operation to prevent the virus from the wound, so as to ensure the use of the insect net.
4. Always check whether the insect-proof net is torn mouth (especially those with a long service life), and once found, it should be repaired in time to ensure that there is no pest invasion in the shed.
